A Tribute to the Father of the Nation
Celebrating the Legacy of Mahatma Gandhi on His Birth Anniversary
On this day of Gandhi Jayanti, we recall,
a man of peace who stood so tall.
With truth and non-violence, he led the way,
and taught the world to fight in a different way.Born in a land bound by chains,
he rose to free it from colonial reigns.
With just a staff and humble attire,
he sparked in millions a freedom fire.The salt of the earth, he marched with grace,
uniting the masses, a peaceful embrace.
From Dandi’s shores to India’s heart,
he made oppression and fear depart.No weapon he carried, no sword in hand,
yet he freed a nation with his gentle stand.
His message was simple, his truth so clear,
love and peace, the world must revere.He spun his charkha, thread by thread,
for self-reliance was where he led.
To the farmer, the weaver, the common man,
he gave them hope, a future, a plan.Though challenges came, and trials were long,
he stood with strength, his resolve so strong.
For justice, for truth, he did never sway,
a beacon of light, still shining today.As we remember him on this solemn day,
let us walk in his footsteps, come what may.
With love in our hearts and truth on our side,
let Gandhi’s teachings be our guide.
