Hindi is my mother tongue. I learned to read, write, and speak it early in life, and I have always been fluent. But like most of us here in India, I studied in English, since it is the main language used in schools. Our native languages often come second, and let me tell you something interesting. India has over 19,500 dialects with 121 languages, making it the most multilingual country in the world. So, you will notice lots of variations every few miles.

And as English became a big part of my life, I lost a bit of touch with Hindi. Still, I can express myself clearly in both. English has helped me grow in my career, but my love for Hindi stays strong as that is our Medium of communication all across in our family.
