The Burden of Expectations

Once you give up expectations, you have learned to live.

We all are living our lives, full of expectations. Any action we perform is bound to have a component of expectation in it. Even if you help a person, your mind will start expecting a return gesture in the future from the same person. And if by chance you are unable to receive the same gesture in return, you tend to develop hatred for the person.

But in the first place, why on earth shall we expect anything in return. Is it not in our nature as humans to help all, serve all and love all, and hurt none. Can’t our actions be selfless in nature?

Consider any act of yours and the people around you. With every breath we take, we are expecting something or other from the people around us.

We humans considered to be the finest creation of the almighty, lack even the most basic of Human values.

Remember always that if you are going to be successful, the important thing is not to expect anything from anyone that you are not willing to do for yourself.

If you expect nothing from somebody, you are never disappointed.
